A bridge leads directly from the exhibition into the ibex enclosure—and right into the fascinating world of these mountain goats. Here, you can get close to the animals without disturbing them.

Our ibex are accustomed to people and can be observed at your leisure. Please respect the designated boundaries. Even trusting wild animals need sufficient distance from us humans for their well-being. Feeding is prohibited!
Opening of the Ibex Enclosure – Summer 2024
In the summer of 2024, the ibex enclosure at the Ibex Center was officially opened. A special moment was the relocation of the ibex from the Innsbruck Alpine Zoo to their new, natural-looking home.
Since then, the animals have settled in well, and visitors can now observe the ibex in an environment that is as species-appropriate as possible and gain insights into their way of life.
