The History of the Steinbockzentrum

A place for nature, culture, and a vision for the future

The Steinbockzentrum was founded to preserve the history and significance of the Alpine ibex and to educate visitors about it. Over the years, it has evolved from a visitor center focused on the ibex into a popular gathering place for nature and culture enthusiasts.
